Introduction

AzureLabel is free label design and printing software for Windows. It lets you create professional labels with text, images, shapes, and a wide range of barcodes — supporting over 70 types, including QR codes, DataMatrix, Code 128, and EAN-13 — all without design or coding experience.

You can design labels with static content — such as text, images, barcodes, and shapes — or make any element dynamic by linking it to external data. Elements can receive values from imported data fields, internet links, or local files. The most common approach is connecting elements to fields from an imported source, such as Excel, Google Sheets, or a CSV file. During printing, each label reflects the data from the current record, making it easy to generate large batches of personalized or variable-content labels.

You can save your labels as PDF files or images (such as PNG or BMP), send them directly to a printer, or automate printing using the built-in REST API, command-line interface (CLI), or file-based triggers. AzureLabel integrates easily with external systems, making it suitable for business workflows and automated environments. If you need additional features, you can upgrade from the Free version to AzureLabel Pro at any time.

AzureLabel’s interface is divided into three main sections:

AzureLabel interface layout
  • 1 Menu. Access program settings, catalogs, help resources, language preferences, and other tools.
  • 2 Label designer. Create simple or complex labels using text, images, barcodes, shapes, dynamic data, and automation features. Advanced labels can include multiple variants (called Designs)—such as “Front,” “Back,” and “Box” — within a single label. All variants share the same data source, enabling streamlined printing and packaging workflows.
  • 3 Label printing. Focused entirely on printing, this section displays your Label Print Data alongside a compact label preview. It uses the same data and label as the Designer, but without any editing tools — providing a streamlined, distraction-free environment for reviewing and printing.
