How AzureLabel licensing works
AzureLabel automatically keeps track of printers that are actively used for printing.
You can view them in Menu > Tools > Licenses and Active Printers.
If the program hasn’t printed to a printer for 4 hours,
that printer is automatically removed from the list of active printers.
This frees up a license slot for another printer.
You don’t need to do anything — the program manages this automatically in the background.
AzureLabel identifies each printer using a combination of the following:
Printer name
Computer name
Drive letter (for local or mapped network drives) or first folder in the path
(for UNC network paths). It is used only when saving to a file.
For network printers, the printer ID is based on the UNC path: \\<Computer Name>\<Printer Name>.
Examples of printer identifiers:
Printer 1 (DESKTOP-3456789012)
Printer 2 (server)
Examples when saving to a file:
Saving to PDF > C: (DESKTOP-1234567890)
Saving to PDF > \\print folder (DESKTOP-2345678901)
