How to allow AzureLabel License Server through Windows Firewall (Windows 11)
When using AzureLabel with a Corporate license, client computers connect to the AzureLabel License Server running on the main computer. Windows Firewall may block these connections. This guide explains how to allow the License Server through Windows Firewall.
Note: You normally only need to configure Windows Firewall on the main computer. Windows 11 allows outgoing connections by default, so no firewall changes are usually required on client computers.
Allow AzureLabel License Server through Windows Firewall
Follow these steps on the main computer where the AzureLabel License Server is installed:
-
Open the Windows Start menu, type Allow an app through Windows Firewall, and select it from the search results.

-
Click Change settings, then click Allow another app....

-
Click Browse... and select the AzureLabel License Server executable
C:\Program Files (x86)\AzureLabel 2027\AzureLabelLicServer.exe.
-
Click Add to add the License Server to the list of allowed applications.

-
Find the AzureLabel License Server in the list and make sure the Private checkbox is selected (or Public if your network is configured as Public).

-
Click OK to save the changes.
Windows Firewall will now allow incoming connections to the AzureLabel License Server on the selected network profile.
